DLV sets only laboratory-grown diamonds, made by chemical vapour deposition. We say it on the header, on the product page and on the invoice, because an origin you have to ask about is not one you can be proud of.

The things people ask us
What are laboratory-grown diamonds?
Laboratory-grown diamonds are diamonds created in a laboratory rather than mined from the earth. The process mimics the conditions under which diamonds form naturally over millions of years. Ours are grown by chemical vapour deposition, which the trade shortens to CVD.
They are physically, chemically and optically the same as mined diamonds. Neither a jeweller nor a gemologist can tell the difference by eye.
How long will my order take?
Every piece is made to order, which takes about 10 working days. After it is dispatched, delivery takes 3 to 4 business days to the metro cities and 10 to 12 business days elsewhere in India.
Nothing sits on a shelf waiting, which is why a piece can be made in the karat and colour you choose rather than the one that happened to be in stock.
Can you tell the difference between laboratory-grown and mined diamonds?
Not by looking. A trained jeweller cannot tell them apart with the naked eye or an ordinary microscope. Only the specialised equipment in a gemological laboratory can identify how a diamond was made.
What does delivery cost?
Nothing. Delivery is free anywhere in India except Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, where we cannot deliver yet. We do deliver to Sikkim.
Are laboratory-grown diamonds the same as synthetic diamonds, or moissanite?
"Synthetic" is the laboratory word for grown rather than mined, so laboratory-grown diamonds are sometimes called that. It does not mean imitation.
What they are not is simulants. Cubic zirconia and moissanite look like diamonds but are different materials entirely. A laboratory-grown diamond is a diamond.
